I am a bit of a plain Jane but I burst out of my comfort zone when I purchased a leopard print cardigan at a thrift store. I was pleasantly surprised when I put it on with a white tee and my favorite black Hudsons (the Nico style.) I didn't feel like I was trying too hard, which is what I feared, but I was feeling something. Confidence and excitement.
A $2 cardigan made me realize that prints are for everyone, even me. It took some time to learn how to wear them right for me to feel comfortable though. I like to wear a print with a clean basic jean and tone it down with a solid cardigan or tee then I am set. I know it's cliche, but really, if I can do it so can you.
Next time you are at Soel, come join me on the wild side---try on something out of your comfort zone. I dare you. :)
Here are some of my favorites right now....
Free People feather print jeans.
Printed with birds on a wire. SO pretty.
